Glen Scotia 10 Years Bordeaux Red Wine Finish Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky 56.1% – Festival 2021 Edition

Glen Scotia 10 Year Bordeaux Red Wine Finish is an intense and characterful Campbeltown Single Malt Whisky, released exclusively for Campbeltown Malts Festival 2021. Bottled at a cask strength of 56.1%, this limited edition is a powerful and authentic expression of both the distillery’s style and the region’s maritime signature.

Distilled from uncoated barley, the whisky is initially aged in first-fill bourbon barrels for a classic base of vanilla, caramel and creamy sweetness. It then spent five months in first-fill Bordeaux red wine barrels from the Médoc region – a finish that adds deep color, structure and distinctive notes of ripe fruit and juicy berries.

After wine barrel aging, the whisky is married together in refilled bourbon barrels, balancing the sweetness of the bourbon with the fruity intensity of the Bordeaux casks. The result is a cask strength whisky bursting with dark, jammy berry notes, ripe plums and an elegant touch of spice, all rounded off by the classic Campbeltown character with a subtle hint of sea and salt.

A whisky for the seasoned enthusiast looking for power, complexity and festival exclusivity. Add a few drops of water to open up the deepest layers of fruit and spice.
