The Kongsgaard House – Passion and Perfection
John Kongsgaard is the fifth generation of winemakers in Napa Valley. Together with his wife Maggy, he creates the wines that proudly bear the family name. In the 1970s, he planted The Judge Vineyard while working at Stony Hill as a Chardonnay winemaker. In 1996, after many years at Newton Vineyards and studies in Burgundy, he started his own project.

Kongsgaard represents uncompromising quality. Everything is done by hand with minimal technological intervention. The winery is located in an excavated rock cave on Atlas Peak, where temperature conditions are perfect for maturation. Every bottle tells a story of passion, intuition, and uniqueness.
