Tasting Notes
Nose: Soft toffee, sun-ripened fruits, and a gentle late-summer breeze – inviting and elegant.
Palate: Deep umami notes from oak, complemented by rich tobacco and aged leather. The sweet core evokes caramelized figs and glazed citrus.

The Story Behind Old St. Croix
The journey begins in 1493, when Christopher Columbus brought sugarcane to the West Indian islands. The island of St. Croix – known as “The Garden of the West Indies” – quickly proved ideal for growing sugarcane and became a centre for rum production. In 1838, the Danish pharmacist and adventurer Albert Heinrich Riise arrived in the Danish West Indies. There, he created unique blends and bitters that soon gained international recognition – including at the World’s Fair in Chicago in 1893.
His most iconic brand was “Old St. Croix Brand” – a name we proudly carry on today as a living tribute to the man who put Danish West Indian rum on the world map.
