What’s special about the Papalin range is the ‘tropicalization’ philosophy: the rum is aged exclusively in the distilleries where it is produced. This means no post-maturation in Europe – only true tropical aging in Jamaica, where heat and humidity provide faster maturation, deeper cask influence and more concentrated flavor.

This 7-year-old edition is a blend of rums aged in two classic cask types:

• Ex-bourbon casks – contributing vanilla, caramel sweetness, coconut and rounded cask spice.
• Ex-sherry casks – for deeper fruitiness, nuttiness, light dried fruit and added complexity.

With an alcoholic strength of 47%, the rum retains its richness and aromatic intensity without tipping over into raw strength. It’s a great choice for the serious rum drinker who wants both power and balance.
