Plantation Vintage Collection Australian 2007 is a unique and rare rum, created as a One-Time Limited Edition. This is a 14-year double-aged quality rum that combines Australian craftsmanship with French finesse – a collector’s item and a taste experience in a class of its own.

Distilled in 2007 in Queensland, Australia, this vintage has undergone a full 13 years of tropical aging at Beenleigh Artisan Distillery – Australia’s oldest registered distillery. The rum is then shipped across the ocean to Javrezac in southwest France, where it is aged for a further year in French oak barrels using Plantation Rum’s iconic double aging method.

Only 21 casks are selected for this exclusive bottling, resulting in a rum with depth, character and terroir. At 49.3% alcohol, you get an intense yet elegant rum that fuses Australian power and French sophistication.

Tasting notes

Nose: Rich and aromatic with notes of dark molasses, tropical fruit, vanilla and toasted oak. Hints of spice and lightly caramelized sugar.

Flavor: Rich and complex with ripe pineapple, dried fruit, spicy oak and a balanced sweetness. The long tropical aging adds depth, while the continental finish adds structure and finesse.

Finish: Long and persistent with warm spices, oak and an elegant rounded sweetness.

Australian terroir meets French savoir-faire

Plantation Rum Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel selects unique rum expressions based on local heritage and traditional production methods. For the first time in Plantation Rum’s history, he focused on Australia’s rum terroir and hand-picked the best casks from Beenleigh Artisan Distillery.

The rum is made with local molasses, exclusive proprietary yeast and pure rainwater. Fermentation lasts a full twelve days, after which distillation takes place in copper pot stills, creating a heavier and more structured style. Plantation Rum’s distinctive double maturation – first in a tropical climate and then in France – completes the expression, creating a rum that combines power, complexity and elegance.
