Plantation Vintage Collection Peru 2006 is an exclusive One-Time Limited Edition from Plantation Rum – a rum for the discerning enthusiast who seeks terroir, craftsmanship and complexity at its best. This 2006 vintage brings Peru’s rich rum tradition to light, combining tropical intensity with French finesse.

Produced in Peru’s Chicama Valley by Cartavio Rum Company, the rum was selected in close collaboration between Plantation Rum’s Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel and Master Blender Jorge Rodriguez Parajes. Together they handpicked 21 casks to create a unique and authentic version that highlights the distinctive style of the region.

Plantation’s signature double aging is a total of 14 years of maturation: first, 11 years of tropical aging in Cartavio, Peru, where the heat develops depth and concentration. The rum then travels to Javrezac in the southwest of France, where it is aged for a further 3 years in French oak barrels. This combination creates a rum with power, structure and an elegant finish.

The distillate is a complex composition of several vacuum column stills combined with John Dore Pot Still distillate. The result is a nuanced and harmonious expression where the soft and rich style of Peru meets layer upon layer of aromatic depth.

• Aroma: Inviting and aromatic with notes of vanilla, caramel, tropical fruit and a hint of roasted nuts.
• Taste: Rich and rounded with dark sugar, toffee, dried fruit and spicy oak. A nice balance between sweetness and structure.
• Finish: Long and harmonious with warm spices, light cocoa and lingering cask character.
