Plantation Vintage Collection N.2 “Under the Sea” Venezuela 2010 is an exclusive and rare rum for the discerning enthusiast. It is a One-Time Limited Edition, created for collectors and connoisseurs seeking depth, character and authenticity.

This vintage was distilled in Venezuela and selected by Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel. Only 22 casks were hand-picked from Destileria Sofa, a historic distillery with centuries-old expertise in rum production. The result is an elegant and terroir-driven expression with both power and finesse.

The rum is double aged for a total of 12 years. First, 8 years of tropical aging in the Aragua Valley in Venezuela, where the heat intensifies the maturation and adds richness and concentration. Then 4 years of continental storage in Javrezac, France, in Ferrand cognac barrels. This finish adds structure, spice and refined balance.

Plantation’s signature is precisely this double aging. The combination of tropical power and French elegance creates a rum with both intensity and precision. Venezuela has a strong tradition of rich and rounded rums, and this 2010 vintage shows it beautifully.

Tasting notes

Color: Clear golden with warm amber tones.

Aroma: Candied fruits, vanilla and honey. Also notes of nutmeg, coconut and light citrus.

Flavor: Rich and structured with layers of caramel, roasted nuts and ripe tropical fruits. Fine spices and elegant oak add depth.

Finish: Long and dry with nuances of orange peel, light tobacco and warm spices.
