The wine comes from a single harvest and is selected from Taylor’s extensive reserves of wood-aged port. It has matured for many years in seasoned oak barrels in the house’s cool and tranquil lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia near Porto. Here, time has worked slowly and precisely, creating a wine with deep complexity, silky smooth structure and a beautiful amber glow.

Unlike Vintage Port, which requires additional bottle ageing, this Single Harvest Port is fully developed at bottling. The long barrel maturation has rounded the tannins and brought out the complex, nutty and caramelized nuances. The result is an elegant and harmonious port that can be enjoyed now – and over time after opening.
