Tasting notes

The color is deep amber-golden with warm copper tones. The nose is intense and complex with notes of walnut, dried fruit, caramel, spices and an elegant hint of orange peel. The palate is silky and concentrated with layers of nuts, mocha, prunes, candied citrus and vanilla. A beautiful, lively acidity balances the sweetness perfectly and leads to a long, harmonious and seductive finish.

History of the house – Andresen

J.H. Andresen was founded in 1845 by Danish merchant Jann Hinrich Andresen, who settled in Porto with a clear vision of quality and craftsmanship. Today, Andresen is one of the few remaining 100% Portuguese-owned Port houses and is internationally recognized for its classic style and uncompromising approach to winemaking. The house is particularly famous for their Colheita Ports and boasts an impressive library of old vintage tawnies. With a focus on tradition, patience and precision, Andresen has long since cemented its place among the most respected names in the Douro Valley.
