Andresen Colheita 1982 Special Selection – 39 years aged Tawny Port

Andresen Colheita 1982 is an impressive and deeply complex aged Tawny Port, created in the classic traditions of the Douro. This port comes from a single harvest and has developed its character through almost four decades of aging in small old oak barrels. The result is a Port of great elegance, silky smooth structure and a complexity that only long ageing can produce.

A Colheita is a special type of tawny port, where the wine comes from a specific vintage. The wines are aged for many years in wooden barrels where slow oxidation develops the characteristic notes of nuts, caramel, dried fruit and spices. Only high quality wines are selected for Colheita at Andresen, and the aging in small barrels gives the wine its soft, round and elegant style.

Andresen Colheita 1982 has been aged for a full 39 years in small old oak barrels. This long maturation has created a port with a deep amber color, great aromatic complexity and a beautifully rounded balance between sweetness, freshness and barrel character. The wine was bottled in 2021 after its long development in the house cellars.

• Aroma: Intense and complex with aromas of dried fruits, roasted nuts, orange peel, caramel and fine oxidative notes.
