Taylor’s Sentinels Vintage Port 2023 is a grand and traditional Vintage Port that pays homage to the Douro Valley’s most prestigious vineyards. Created as a modern expression of Taylor’s historic heritage, this bottling represents the essence of classic Vintage Port with intensity, structure and enormous aging potential.

Sentinels is composed of selected wines from Taylor’s century-old properties in and around the Pinhão Valley. The area is considered the heart of the Douro and has been known since the beginning of the Port trade as the source of the very finest Port wines. Here, steep terraces, slatey soil and a warm climate produce grapes of extraordinary concentration and depth.

The name “Sentinels” refers to the iconic granite columns, marcos de feitoria, which mark the boundary of the highest quality zone in the Douro. These stand like sentinels over the vineyards and symbolize origin, authenticity and quality. The wine is created through parcel selection, where the best wines are selected from individual parcels on each estate to achieve maximum complexity and balance.
