This edition comes from the legendary Mortlach distillery, known for its powerful and rich style. Distilled in March 2007, the whisky was matured for 16 years before being bottled in May 2023. Aged in a Refill Hogshead, the result is an elegant and balanced whisky where the character of the distillery is allowed to shine through, while the cask adds finesse and structure.

The whisky is bottled at a natural strength of 52.1%, not chill-filtered and with no added color. This means maximum aroma, body and authenticity in the glass. With a total of 2638 bottles from this bottling, this is an exciting release for collectors and enthusiasts alike who appreciate a serious dram with personality and edge.

Tasting notes

Nose: Intense and complex with notes of dark fruit, malt, honey and warm spices. A slight animal and meaty character that Mortlach is known for adds depth.
