Thy Bøg Whisky 50% is a characterful Danish single malt whisky with a unique Nordic profile. This whisky is produced according to Thy Whisky’s farm distilling philosophy, where the entire process takes place on the distillery’s own farm in Thy. From grain cultivation to distillation and maturation, everything happens in the same place, resulting in a whisky with distinct terroir and authenticity.

The whisky is made from barley grown on the distillery’s own fields. The grain is grown organically and is part of the farm’s natural crop rotation. This results in high-quality raw materials and a clear connection between the soil in Thy and the finished whisky in the bottle.

Thy Bøg gets its name from the special smoking process using Danish beech wood. The beech smoke gives a soft and elegant smoke profile that differs from many classic peat-smoked whiskies. The result is a more rounded and harmonious smoked style with both depth and finesse.

After distillation, the whisky is aged in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The casks add rich fruit notes, warm spices and a beautiful sweetness that balances the elegant smoke. The result is a complex and rich whisky with smoke, fruit and depth.
