Weingut Ihringer Chardonnay Baden 2020 is an elegant and characterful German Chardonnay from Baden – one of Germany’s warmest and most prestigious wine regions. Here the Chardonnay grape is given optimal conditions to develop both ripe fruit, structure and a nice creamy richness.

This wine is part of the “Uringa” wine line , named after the first documented mention of the wine town of Ihringen way back in 962. The range represents the house’s best wines and is created with a focus on quality at every stage – from field to cellar.

Selected vineyards and hand-picked grapes

The grapes come from carefully selected parcels in some of the best vineyards around Ihringen. The combination of the area’s warm climate and the special soil gives the Chardonnay grapes a beautiful ripeness and a rich aroma profile.

To ensure high quality, the producer works with strict yield regulation and hand-picking of the grapes. Each parcel is vinified individually, allowing the character and terroir of each parcel to shine through.

After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels, which adds an elegant structure, soft spices and a slightly creamy texture. The interplay of fruit, barrel and minerality creates a harmonious and complex Chardonnay.
