The whisky was distilled on May 6, 2013 and bottled on October 10, 2024 after 11 years of carefully monitored maturation. It has spent the majority of its life in a classic HHD cask before being finished in an ex-peated cask. This finish adds a subtle veil of smoke and extra complexity, without overpowering Royal Brackla’s distinctive Highland style. The result is a balanced and nuanced single malt with both finesse and edge.

Lady of the Glen – passion, myths and single casks

Founded in 2012 by Gregor Hannah, Lady of the Glen has since established itself as one of Scotland’s most exciting independent bottlers. The name is inspired by an old legend about a tragic spirit from Stirling Castle. Since 2020, the house has been based in Dalgety Bay in scenic Fife, overlooking the Firth of Forth and towards Edinburgh. Here, carefully selected single casks are selected and bottled with a focus on quality, authenticity and character – always in natural form and with great respect for the whisky.
