Taylors 2007 Vintage Port

The company Taylor's - or Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman, as it is correctly called - is over 300 years old. Taylor's is still a personally owned family business that is completely independent. Taylor's headquarters are located in Vila Nova de Gaia. Here, the port wines are shipped, which are exported to at least 54 countries worldwide - in addition, the port wines are of course also sold in Portugal. The grapes for the port wines from Taylor's are grown in the Douro Valley on Taylor's own three vineyards; Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco. The port wines from Taylor's were, are and will continue to be some of the greatest port wines! The grapes for the Vintage port wines from Taylor’s are grown in the Douro Valley on Taylor’s own vineyards, Quinta de Vargellas and Quinta de Terra Feita, whose soils are both classified in group A, which is the absolute best group. The microclimates on the two farms are very different, and this results in complex and powerful port wines, which are particularly suitable for storage. This port wine has a nice, deep purple, almost black color as well as intense and exotic aroma of black berries, violets and roses. It has a strong and concentrated, but at the same time elegant and well-balanced fruit taste, as well as an incredibly long and pleasant aftertaste. It is a well-structured port wine with lots of power, which is particularly suitable for desserts or as a glass after a good meal. It is said about Vintage Port that it is drinkable after 4-5 years, but that it can only really be enjoyed after 15-20 years. Pga. the natural depot that is in the Vintage Port, remember to leave the bottle upright for 48 hours before opening it - that way the sediment falls to the bottom. Then you should carefully decant the port wine so that the precipitate stays in the bottle. The port wine is ready for serving 2-3 hours after decanting - and should be drunk within 24 hours after opening.
