Arran The Devil’s Punch Bowl Collection – Chapter 1, 2 & 3 Single Malt

Arran The Devil’s Punch Bowl Collection is a legendary trilogy from Arran Distillery. This collection contains all three chapters of the famous series, which is coveted by collectors and whisky enthusiasts today. Each release was created by the distillery’s former Master Distiller James MacTaggert, who carefully selected casks to create some of the most complex and powerful Arran whiskies ever.

The range is inspired by the dramatic glacial cave of Coire na Ciche on the north-east coast of Arran, also known as “The Devil’s Punch Bowl”. The mysterious nature and wild landscape of the island have provided the setting for this unique trilogy. Each edition is composed of casks of different ages and types to create a whisky with depth, character and great complexity.

All three chapters are bottled at natural strength and without chill filtration. This ensures an authentic whisky experience where aromas, textures and flavors are preserved in their full intensity. The series clearly shows the Arran distillery’s ability to combine different casks into a harmonious and powerful single malt.

The Devil’s Punch Bowl series is today a cult classic among Arran collectors. The collection of all three chapters is rare and represents an important chapter in the modern history of the distillery.

Chapter 1 – The Devil’s Punch Bowl

The first release in the series was created from carefully selected casks, each contributing their own character to the blend. The result is a complex and intense whisky with great depth. The release was limited to just 6,600 bottles.

Chapter 2 – Angels & Devils

The second chapter continues the story with another blend of carefully selected casks of different ages and types. The whisky shows a rich and balanced character with great aromatic depth. This edition was also produced in only 6,600 bottles.

Chapter 3 – The Fiendish Finale

The third and final release completes the trilogy with a powerful and complex whisky. James MacTaggert selected some of the finest casks from the distillery’s warehouses to create perhaps the most characterful release of the series.
