The whisky was distilled on July 15, 2013 and bottled on February 3, 2025 after 11 years of maturation in a 1st fill ex-bourbon cask (cask number 311808). This type of cask brings out the natural richness and power of the distillery while adding elegant notes of vanilla, sweetness and spice. The result is a Speyside single malt with structure, warmth and complexity.

Bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.6%, the bottling is naturally without chill filtration and without added color. Only 214 bottles were bottled from this single cask, making this Benrinnes a rare and coveted whisky that can never be recreated.

Tasting notes

Nose: Warm apple pie with a hint of spice and soft vanilla, accompanied by a vibrant aroma of freshly planed wood and a subtle hint of smoke.

Flavor: Full-bodied and balanced with sweet honey on crisp, toasted bread. The ex-bourbon cask adds roundness and elegance, while the power of the distillery is evident.

Finish: Long and satisfying with warm spices, light oak and a pleasant dry finish.

Lady of the Glen – craft, history and heart

Founded in 2012 by Gregor Hannah, Lady of the Glen has since established itself as one of Scotland’s most respected independent bottlers. The name was inspired by a tragic figure from Stirling Castle, while today the heart is in Dalgety Bay overlooking the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh. Each bottle is bottled individually, straight from the cask and in its natural form – one bottle, one story and one true whisky experience.
