Bruichladdich 1990 17 Year Old Islay Single Malt Whisky is a rare and characterful bottling from the traditional distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. This whisky is selected and handcrafted by legendary Master Distiller Jim McEwan, who throughout his career has been known for creating some of the most elegant and complex whiskies from Scotland.

The whisky was distilled in 1990 and then matured for 17 years, first in classic bourbon casks. It was then given an extra dimension by finishing in Tempranillo wine casks. The combination of these casks gives an exciting depth, where the soft vanilla and caramel notes of the bourbon barrel meet the fruitier and spicier nuances of the Tempranillo barrel.

Bruichladdich is known for its clean and elegant style among Islay whiskies. Where many whiskies from the island are heavily smoked, Bruichladdich often focuses on finesse, fruit and complexity.
