Cardinale Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2007 – A Masterpiece from Napa
Experience the Cardinale Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, one of Napa Valley’s most iconic wines. This limited edition wine is for enthusiasts seeking a balance of power, elegance, and complexity. The grapes are sourced from the most prestigious mountain vineyards in Napa Valley. The result is an unforgettable wine experience, perfect to enjoy now or age for many years.

The wine is composed of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot, carefully selected from vineyards such as Howell Mountain, Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder, Diamond Mountain, and the Oakville/St. Helena Benchlands. The high-elevation sites provide freshness, structure, and minerality, while the lower benchland vineyards add richness and warmth to the flavor.

It is aged for 22 months in 100% French oak barrels, 90% of which are new. This unfiltered wine is crafted for slow development and long aging potential. Each bottle combines the power of mountain-grown grapes with the roundness of valley fruit.

Tasting Notes

  • Color: Deep violet with vibrant intensity.

  • Aroma: Sweet blackcurrant, cherry, licorice, spices, and freshly toasted oak.

  • Palate: Full-bodied with dark fruits, anise, and graphite. Silky tannins and a long finish.

  • Aging Potential: Can develop beautifully for up to 25 years.

Food Pairings

  • Grilled Ribeye with Herb Butter – the wine’s tannins perfectly complement the richness of the meat.

  • Braised Lamb Shank with Rosemary – harmonizes with the wine’s herbal and anise notes.

  • Dark Chocolate Mousse with Cherry Coulis – cherry and blackcurrant highlight the dessert’s flavors.

  • Aged Gouda or Parmigiano-Reggiano – the wine’s complexity enhances the nutty notes of the cheese.

About Cardinale
Cardinale was founded in 1982 with a single vision: to create a Cabernet Sauvignon that reflects Napa Valley’s best mountain vineyards. In the 1990s, Cardinale became part of Jackson Family Wines, gaining access to some of Napa Valley’s most sought-after vineyard sites.

Winemaker Christopher Carpenter has perfected the art of blending mountain-grown grapes, producing wines with depth, complexity, and long aging potential. The estate is located in Oakville AVA and is designed for small-batch fermentations, with each vineyard treated with precision from vine to bottle.

Cardinale Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 is more than a wine – it is a masterpiece from Napa, perfect for collecting, celebrating, or investing in taste and quality.
