Ihringer Gewürztraminer Kabinett Baden 2024 – aromatic and charming white wine from Kaiserstuhl
Ihringer Gewürztraminer Kabinett Baden 2024 is a seductive and intense white wine from the warm Kaiserstuhl in Baden – one of Germany’s sunniest wine regions. Here, on the volcanic slopes around Ihringen, the Gewürztraminer grape develops an impressive aromatic depth that makes this wine exotic, elegant and irresistibly seductive.
Kaiserstuhl is known for its almost Mediterranean-like climate, where the many hours of sunshine and mineral-rich soils of lava, loess and clay provide optimal conditions for aromatic grape varieties. This creates wines with great intensity of aroma, great ripeness and a vibrant freshness that makes the area unique in Germany.
In the glass, the wine has a beautiful light golden color. The bouquet is intense and filled with exotic aromas of ripe peach, honeydew melon and elegant rose petals. The taste is soft, fruity and harmonious with a nice balance between freshness and natural fruit sweetness. The aftertaste is long, aromatic and silky with an elegant spicy touch that is characteristic of Gewürztraminer.
It is a wine that impresses both as an aperitif and with food. It goes particularly well with Asian-inspired dishes, spicy cuisine, ripe cheeses, foie gras or light desserts with fruit.
Tasting notes
The aroma offers peach, honeydew melon, roses and exotic fruits. The taste is full-bodied and aromatic with a beautiful fruitiness, soft texture and long persistent finish with elegant spicy nuances.
The history of the house
Kaiserstuhl Winegrowers’ Cooperative Ihringen eG has been a symbol of unity, passion and love for winemaking for generations. The cooperative was created by local winegrowers who, through hard times and great successes, have worked together to create wines that express the area’s unique terroir and proud traditions.
Although modern technology now plays an important role in production, the classic traditions of craftsmanship still live on in Ihringen. The combination of innovation and respect for nature results in wines with authenticity, character and high quality.
The Kaiserstuhl region is one of Germany’s most sought-after wine regions and is often referred to as a true wine paradise. The steep volcanic vineyards around Ihringen are among the sunniest spots in the country and provide perfect conditions for both Burgundy varieties and aromatic grapes like Gewürztraminer.
The warm climate and special soils create wines with great aroma, great body and elegant freshness – wines that clearly reflect the unique identity of the area.
