The story of the house – Licorice by Bülow

The story begins in 2007, when Johan Bülow decided to give licorice the same respect and quality that is known from the world of wine and gastronomy. The first small licorice cooking room on Bornholm quickly became a hit, and Johan’s vision of elevating licorice to a gourmet product created a whole new category in Nordic confectionery.
With a focus on craftsmanship, natural ingredients and uncompromising innovation, Lakrids by Bülow has achieved international recognition. Production remains Danish and the house is passionate about creating unique taste experiences that bring people together – especially during the cozy winter months.
