Limited Batch Series Jamaica rum 63.9% is an uncompromising and intense rum for those who love the raw, funky and deep character of Jamaica. This release is created in a limited edition of just 242 bottles and bottled at a full 63.9% – a strength that provides maximum aroma, structure and power in the glass.

Distilled in 2015 at a secret distillery – “Worth a walk in the Park” – a little allusion that will make connoisseurs smile. After distillation, the rum is aged for a total of 7 years, with an intriguing combination of tropical and continental aging that adds both intensity and complexity.

First, the rum matured for 5 years tropically in ex-bourbon barrels, where the Caribbean heat brought out powerful notes of vanilla, caramel and deep fruit. It was then aged for 2 years in a continental Islay Cask – a finish that adds an extra layer of smoke, minerality and slightly salty character. The combination of Jamaica esters and a former Islay cask creates a distinctive and unique expression that stands out from the crowd.

This is rum for the seasoned enthusiast – perfect for enjoying neat or with a few drops of water, opening up even more layers of aroma and flavor.

Tasting notes

• Nose: Intense and explosive with overripe banana, pineapple and classic Jamaican funk. Vanilla, caramel and a subtle veil of smoke from the Islay cask.
• Flavor: Powerful and rich with tropical fruit, dark sugar, spice and a slightly peaty, smoky nuance that plays elegantly with the esters.
• Finish: Very long and warming with spice, oak, lightly salted minerality and lingering fruity notes.
