Distilled on December 7, 1993 at the legendary Macallan Distillery in Speyside, the whisky has evolved through a remarkable maturation journey. First, the whisky matured in an American oak ex-bourbon hogshead, where it developed its elegant structure and soft sweetness. It was then transferred to an Oloroso sherry cask for seven years, adding depth, dried fruit and classic sherry notes.

As the final refined step in the maturation process, the whisky was finished in a luxurious Pedro Ximénez sherry cask from Murray McDavid’s partner Ximénez-Spínola in Jerez, Spain. This finish adds an intense and generous sweetness with notes of dark fruit, caramel and spice that elevate the whisky to an extraordinary level.

Only 113 bottles have been bottled from this cask, making this release extremely rare. It is bottled at natural cask strength and with no color added, so all the nuances of cask and distillate are completely authentic. Each bottle is individually numbered – including bottle number 46 of 113. We only have the bottle shown in the picture.
