Mosgaard Amontillado Cask 46.5% is not just another whisky. It’s a journey through time, wood, and tradition – a spirit with true maturity, complexity, and character.

Time, Wood, and Maturity

Aged between 7 and 9 years, this whisky reaches a level of maturity far beyond what the Danish climate would suggest.
The journey begins in small 50-liter Palo Cortado and Oloroso sherry casks, where the spirit quickly absorbs deep, sweet notes from the wood.
After 5–6 years, the finest casks are moved to 250-liter Amontillado hogsheads, where the whisky matures for another 2–3 years.

Where the Magic Happens

Amontillado casks add a dry, refined, and slightly nutty tone that perfectly balances the early sweetness.
The result is a whisky of remarkable complexity – a graceful dance between sweetness, dryness, and structure.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Warm notes of orange peel, roasted nuts, and dark raisins, followed by malt, caramel, and a hint of cedarwood – like the scent of a fresh cigar box.
Palate: Full-bodied and rounded, with a delicate balance of fruity and dry nuances.
