The whisky is distilled from organic Danish barley malt and pure water from Funen and aged in specially crafted Palo Cortado American white oak sherry casks. The casks have been filled with Mosgaard’s own Palo Cortado sherry for a year and a half, giving full control over the interaction between wine, wood and whisky. The result is a sherry-aged single malt with impressive structure, intensity and balance.

At 52.5% alcohol, this whisky delivers both power and finesse. It’s a sherry whisky with edge, warmth and elegance – perfect for slow enjoyment, with each sip revealing new layers.

The story of the house

Mosgaard Distillery was founded in South Funen with a clear vision to create organic, handcrafted whisky and gin of absolute world class. Production takes place in small batches on specially designed copper pot stills where nothing is left to chance. The mild Funen climate, fresh sea air and pure underground water provide ideal conditions for slow and harmonious maturation.
