Mosgaard Peated / Bourbon Cask combines classic whisky craftsmanship with Danish innovation to deliver an intense flavor experience that stands shoulder to shoulder with the best international bottlings.

The whisky is made from organic smoked malt peated to 45 ppm with Scottish peat and matured for almost five years. It is aged in carefully selected 50 liter bourbon casks, complemented by Hungarian oak octaves, which add extra depth, spice and structure. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky with distinct smoke, soft vanilla sweetness and an elegant fruitiness.

This bottling is unfiltered and bottled at 49.2%, preserving aroma, mouthfeel and complexity. A whisky that rewards the patient drinker – both neat and with a few drops of water.

The story of the house

Mosgaard Distillery is known for combining classic distilling techniques with uncompromising Danish craftsmanship. All whisky is slowly distilled on copper pot stills and produced in small batches. Pure Danish spring water and the mild coastal climate help shape the whisky and give it its distinctive style.

The quality of the house is internationally recognized. Among other things, Mosgaard has achieved the title of Europe’s best whisky in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2024 and an impressive ranking as number 5 in the world the same year.
