Distilled in February 1998 at the Glenburgie Distillery in the heart of Speyside, the whisky has been matured for 23 years in a refill hogshead. With only 238 bottles in total, this is a rare bottling that combines age, limited edition and high strength at 54%.

The whisky was bottled in October 2021 at natural strength, with no chill filtration and no added color.
