Tasting notes:
Nose: Vanilla and yellow fruits such as pineapple and banana come first, below which is a layer of drier red fruits, with subtle hints of port.
Taste: The yellow and red fruits continue into the port-tinged taste, together with tobacco and cedarwood.
Finish: Rich and long with a harmonious, dry, chocolatey conclusion.

Riise´s weird and wonderful creatures:
Riise´s vast collection of herbs, plants and conches can now be found on the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen, as well as in museums in Stockholm and Oslo. A wide range of animal species are named after the reowned Danish scientist and phamacist:
The Hylodes Riisei, or Yellow Mottled Coqui, to give it its English name, is a mottled yellow frog which Riise and Lütken had registrered in St. Thomas in 1863. Its present status is now sadly somewhat threatened due the lost of its habitat.
