Centuria is a blend of the house’s oldest and most characterful casks – carefully selected for maximum depth and balance. The result is a dark, intense and layered rum that delivers an almost dessert-like experience in the glass. This is a rum for contemplation, for the armchair and for those special moments.

On the nose, you’re met with a thick, syrupy and slightly smoky aroma with distinct notes of molasses and dark syrup. Vanilla and char provide warmth and depth, while espresso beans and cedar add elegance. With oxygenation, it evolves towards complex nuances of hot asphalt, old ropes and baked apples sprinkled with dark brown sugar.

The taste is sweet and rounded with intense fruit richness – almost like apple strudel with juicy sultanas, nutmeg and cinnamon. Notes of melted vanilla ice cream, toasted brioche with Demerara sugar, caramelized apples and a hint of smoke create a sumptuous whole. The whole experience is reminiscent of bread and butter pudding in liquid form. The finish is medium-long and filled with prunes, walnuts and a subtle hint of cardamom. It finishes with a sensation almost reminiscent of Pedro Ximénez sherry.
