Tasting notes – Taylor’s 1994 Vintage Port

Color: Dark purple with ripe tones at the edge. The color shows both power and development.

Aroma: Rich blackcurrant, cherry and ripe raspberry aromas. Subtle floral notes and a hint of cocoa add extra finesse.

Taste: Soft and deep from the first sip. Fresh berries meet dark fruits for a beautiful balance. The finish is long, harmonious and elegant.

Serving:
– Excellent with chocolate, strong cheeses or as an afternoon and evening pleasure.
– Decant the wine 2-3 hours before serving.
– Should be drunk within 24 hours after opening.

Storage: The wine is beautifully ready to drink now. It can develop for 20-25 years and retain its strength and depth.

House history – Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman

Taylor’s – or Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman – has been a family-owned port wine house for more than 300 years. The house is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, where the port wines are aged and shipped to over 50 countries. Taylor’s is known for its high quality and ability to create some of the world’s greatest Vintage Ports.

The grapes for the house’s top wines come from the Douro Valley. Two of the most important vineyards are Quinta de Vargellas and Quinta de Terra Feita. Both are classified in the A group and have unique microclimates that produce wines of great complexity and power.
