Beni di Batasiolo Barolo Boscareto 2013 – Majestic single vineyard Barolo from Piedmont
Beni di Batasiolo Barolo Boscareto 2013 is the epitome of classic Barolo – powerful, complex and with an aging potential that will excite any serious wine lover. This single vineyard Barolo comes from the prestigious Boscareto estate in the heart of Piedmont and clearly shows why Barolo is called the “King of Piedmont”.
The 2013 vintage is particularly sought after in Barolo. A long and balanced growing season produced Nebbiolo grapes with great structure, aromatic precision and marked acidity – perfect for wines with depth and longevity. This is a ripe and harmonious Barolo that already shows great class, but still has many years ahead of it.
The grapes are harvested by hand from the Boscareto parcel, where the soil and exposure create optimal conditions for Nebbiolo with intensity and finesse. After maceration for up to 15 days and temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is aged for 24 months in small French oak barrels. This is followed by at least 12 months of bottle ageing before release. The result is a Barolo with both power and elegance – true to its terroir.
Tasting notes
Color: Deep garnet red with brick-colored nuances at the edge – a beautiful sign of maturity.
Aroma: Complex and refined bouquet of ripe cherries, dried rose petals, licorice and balsamic notes. Subtle hints of vanilla and spice from the cask.
Flavor: Full-bodied and well-structured with silky tannins. Layer upon layer of dark berries, leather, tobacco and truffle unfold in the mouth. The aftertaste is long, persistent and elegantly balanced.
Serving: Decant at least one hour before serving. Serve at 18-20 °C. Perfect with beef, game, mushroom risotto and aged cheeses.
Beni di Batasiolo – Tradition and innovation in Barolo
Beni di Batasiolo is a family-owned winery with deep roots in Piedmont’s proud wine tradition. For generations, the Dogliani family has combined classic craftsmanship with modern vinification techniques to create wines with authenticity and international recognition.
The house has nine properties – “beni” – and more than 100 hectares of vineyards in some of Barolo’s most prestigious areas, including Briccolina, Cerequio and Boscareto.
