Foursquare Triptych Single Blended Rum 56% – Barrel Proof from Barbados

Foursquare Triptych Single Blended Rum 56% is an iconic and uncompromising Barbados rum, created in collaboration between Richard Seale and Luca Gargano. Triptych is a tribute to the significance of the cask and the terroir of the rum – a complex and powerful rum bottled at barrel proof and 100% fully matured in the tropics.

The name “Triptych” refers to the combination of three different vintage rums and three different cask types:

2004 – ex-bourbon cask
2005 – ex-Madeira cask
2007 – Virgin oak cask

Each of these rums is itself a Single Blended Rum, meaning that the distillate consists of both double distilled copper pot still rum and traditional column distilled rum from the same distillery, blended before cask maturation. The combination of vintages and barrel types creates a multi-dimensional and deeply textured rum with fruit, spice and intense oak character.

Triptych was bottled in November 2014 in a limited edition of just 5400 bottles. A collector’s bottle and a reference point for modern, authentic Barbados rum without additives.

Tasting notes

Color: Deep amber with a copper glow.

Nose: Intense notes of tropical fruit, vanilla, caramel and spicy oak with hints of dried fruit from the Madeira cask.

Palate: Powerful and complex with layers of dark caramel, roasted nuts, orange peel and warm spices. The Madeira cask adds fruity sweetness, while virgin oak adds structure and spicy depth.

Finish: Long, dry and persistent with balanced barrel spice and tropical ripeness.
