An exclusive and cask strength bottled single cask from Glenallachie – selected especially for Denmark in Batch 2. This 2008 vintage is matured for 11 years and bottled at natural strength of 55.9% for maximum intensity, depth and authenticity.

The whisky was distilled on October 7, 2008 and bottled in May 2020 from cask no. 3601 – a Sauternes cask. Sauternes casks are known for imparting a seductive sweetness, tropical fruit and honey notes that blend beautifully with Glenallachie’s rich and characterful Speyside distillate. The result is a complex and layered whisky where fruity elegance meets spicy structure.

Only 304 bottles have been bottled from this cask, making this release particularly attractive to collectors and enthusiasts looking for something unique and terroir-driven. A whisky with both power and finesse – and with significant ageing potential.

Tasting notes

Nose: Waves of heather honey accompanied by ripe peaches and apricot. A hint of cinnamon and sweet cask character from the Sauternes cask give an inviting and aromatic depth.

Flavor: Rich and concentrated with heather honey and syrup up front, followed by pineapple, peaches and sweet grapefruit. Cinnamon and spicy nuances round out the flavor picture and add structure.

Finish: Long and warm with lingering honey sweetness, tropical fruit and elegant spices.
