On Thursday, November 12, 2026, Eriksen Vinhandel invites you to a port wine evening that will make history.

At Maskinværkstedet in Holbæk, we’ll be opening a unique collection of Taylor’s Vargellas Vinha Velha Vintage Ports. For the first time ever, all 8 vintages produced will be brought together and served at a single tasting. Only 30 guests will have the opportunity to join us for this very special evening.

From the first vintage in 1995 through 2017, we have the opportunity to trace more than two decades of evolution through some of Taylor’s rarest and most prestigious Vintage Ports.

From the old vines at Quinta de Vargellas

Vargellas Vinha Velha is crafted from very old vines at the famous Quinta de Vargellas in the Douro Valley. The low yield from these old plots yields grapes with extraordinary concentration, depth, and complexity.

Vinha Velha is produced only in specially selected vintages and in very limited quantities. It is a Vintage Port with impressive aging potential and a rarity that makes the bottles particularly sought after among connoisseurs and collectors.

The evening begins around the table

Before we open the historic Vintage Ports, the evening begins with a delicious main course accompanied by a glass of wine. Here, there’s time to enjoy the dinner and the atmosphere before we move on to the evening’s grand tasting.

A journey from 1995 to 2017

We will then work our way through the eight vintages. Glass by glass, we’ll experience the differences between the harvest years and trace the evolution that the years in the bottle have brought to each individual wine.

It will be a journey through power, ripe fruit, structure, elegance, and complexity—with the opportunity to compare the entire Vinha Velha series under the same conditions.

After the last Vintage Port, we’ll conclude the evening with a light dessert.

Only 30 seats available

A historic tasting like this deserves time, tranquility, and the right setting. That’s why the event is limited to just 30 guests.
