S.B.S. Philippines 2019 Single Cask Rum is a rare and characterful rum from the renowned 1423 Single Barrel Selection series. This edition is bottled exclusively for Denmark and comes from a single cask, providing a truly unique rum experience. With only 312 bottles produced, this is a limited release that both collectors and passionate rum lovers will appreciate.

The rum was distilled in 2019 in the Philippines on molasses and produced by column distillation, resulting in an elegant and clean rum profile. After distillation, the rum has undergone an exciting double maturation in both Bourbon barrels and Virgin Oak. This combination gives the rum a deep complexity, where the classic vanilla and caramel notes from bourbon barrels meet the more intense spicy and woody notes from new oak barrels.

The result is a rum with structure, warmth and a great balance of sweetness, spice and barrel character. It’s bottled at a powerful 59% strength, which preserves the full aromatic expression of the rum and provides an intense flavor experience in the glass.

This is a rum that really shows how exciting rums from the Philippines can be – especially when allowed to develop in carefully selected casks and bottled without compromise.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Rich and aromatic with notes of vanilla, coconut, caramel, toasted oak, tropical fruits and a hint of spice.

Flavor: Intense and round with notes of caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, ripe banana, spicy oak and a hint of cocoa.

Finish: Long and warm with barrel spice, lightly toasted wood, sweet caramel and tropical fruit notes.
