The Montebello distillery was founded in 1930 by the Dolomie family, where the distillery is located in the eastern part of the island of Basse Terra in the French department of Guadaloupe. The Montebello distillery, which was born as a small family-run distillery, has faced the most varied and historic changes, and several times passed from hand to hand, remained virtually unchanged until they hit the 1970s, when the distillery really began to grow. Today, there are more than 30 people employed at the Montebello distillery, which means that the distillery produces up to 500 thousand liters of rhum and the year of high quality, where most of the space that comes is intended for the French market.
