Taylors 1983 Vintage Port
Taylor's vintage port wine has always been praised to the skies, and earlier in my port wine life I thought they were overrated. But in recent years I have become acquainted with several vintages from Taylor`s and they have NOT disappointed. Now the turn has come for this Taylor vintage 1983 and I look forward to it. 1983 is in my opinion a vintage that is above average, so there is a basis for a good Port Wine experience. The color is slightly brownish and indicates maturity without being "gone over" The scent is classic mature vintage door, and it is NICE. The color is slightly brownish and indicates maturity without being "gone over" The scent is classic mature vintage door, and it is NICE. Lots of spices The aroma is nothing short of amazing, spices and ripe berries in a great abundance. The taste is similar to the scent, and it's not bad. A soft and pleasant sensation spreads in the mouth. In my opinion, this vintage gate is perfectly matured and gives a REALLY good picture of what a vintage gate can offer. Decant like approx. 2 hours on carafe and serve at approx. 15 degrees. Taylor's Vintage 1983 shows off its best side. 75 cl.
