For a century, Taylors has owned the beautiful riverside estate of Vargellas in the wildest, highest country of Douro. Here the grapes are still trodden by foot to become the wine which is the backbone of Taylors vintage port. In certain years when a Taylors vintage is not declaredm the best of the estate´s produce is selected and bottled as ´single-quinta´ vintage. In its century of Taylors ownership, Vargellas has become recognised as one of the great wine estates of the world. This port is from a single vintage. It will improve with aged age and may kept in bottled for many years.
