Tomatin 1971 #30041 Warehouse 6 Collection 45,8% – 44 years Exclusive Highland Single Malt

Tomatin 1971 #30041 from the legendary Warehouse 6 Collection is a world-class whisky experience. Distilled on August 7, 1971 and bottled on May 16, 2016 after more than 44 years of maturation, this is a rare Highland Single Malt that few will ever have the opportunity to taste – or own.

The whisky has matured in a single hand-selected Spanish Oloroso Sherry cask (cask number 30041), creating a deep, intense and exceptionally complex character. With a natural strength of 45.8%, it is silky smooth, yet concentrated and nuanced. Only 252 bottles were released – a true collector’s release for the uncompromising whisky enthusiast.

This is liquid history from the Highland region – a whisky where time, patience and perfectionism come together.

Warehouse 6 – Where Time Works in Silence

At the heart of the Tomatin distillery is the iconic Warehouse 6, a traditional down warehouse where temperature and humidity create ideal conditions for slow and natural maturation. Here, the distillery’s most exclusive casks rest under the watchful eye of experienced warehouse masters. Cask 30041 developed a unique and deeply integrated sherry character over decades, which today defines this exceptional bottling.

Tasting notes

Nose: Elegant and deep with notes of almond, ripe plums, ginger cake and marzipan. Underlying layers of dried fruit and spicy oak.

Flavor: Rich and complex with warm notes of caramel, dark chocolate and coffee. Nuances of winter fruits and rich sherry tones create a velvety and harmonious structure.

Finish: Long, refined and persistent with deep fruit, spice and an elegant, dry finish characterized by noble oak.

Luxurious Presentation

Tomatin 1971 comes in a hand-blown crystal decanter with copper details and a solid copper stopper. It is accompanied by an exclusive copper banded glass and presented on a handcrafted wooden podium with leather, copper and rose gold details. A presentation that matches the rarity of the contents and makes the release an impressive centerpiece of any serious whisky collection.

The story behind the house

Tomatin Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, has been producing whisky since 1897. The distillery is known for its elegant and fruit-driven style and its focus on slow and careful maturation. The Warehouse 6 Collection represents the pinnacle of the distillery’s archives – casks that have developed a unique character over decades and are now being released in highly limited editions.

Tomatin 1971 #30041 is a tribute to craft, tradition and the refining power of time – an investment in both quality and whisky history.
