Arran Private Cask #220 is an exclusive 21 year old single malt from the Isle of Arran. It is matured in a Sherry Hogshead and bottled at a powerful 50.3%. This is an intense and characterful whisky with plenty of depth.

Isle of Arran Distillers is one of the few independent distilleries in Scotland. The distillery is located in Lochranza on the Isle of Arran. The island lies off the west coast between Ayrshire and Kintyre. The area is known for its rugged nature and dramatic landscape.

This bottling comes from cask no. 1999/220, distilled on 02/09/1999 and bottled on 08/07/2021. In total, only 260 bottles have been bottled. This makes it very interesting for collectors and whisky enthusiasts alike.

The 21 years of sherry hogshead has given the whisky great complexity. The cask adds deep, dark notes and a great balance. At the same time, it retains Arran’s fresh and fruity house style. It’s classic sherry aged Scottish single malt with extra power and personality.

Tasting notes

Aroma: Raisins, figs and dark fruit. Notes of orange peel, honey and spicy oak. A hint of chocolate and roasted nuts.

Flavor: Rich and concentrated. Dried fruit, caramel and warm spices. Tones of cocoa, nuts and dark malt.

Finish: Long and warm. Sherry, oak and dark fruit linger nicely. A dry and elegant finish.
