Apogee is blended from carefully selected malt whiskies and then given extra maturation in former Bimber oak casks. The result is an impressive balance of richness, sweetness and spicy complexity. Bottled at 46.3% alcohol, the whisky retains its natural structure and intensity without losing finesse.

Tasting notes
The aroma offers ripe fruits, vanilla, caramel and toasted oak tones, elegantly supported by spices and slightly malty sweetness. The palate is rich and layered with notes of honey, dried fruit, spicy oak and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is rich and creamy, and the finish is long, warm and sophisticated with a nice balance of sweetness and spice.

The history of the house
Bimber Distillery was founded by passionate whisky lovers with a clear mission: to produce single malt whisky with character using traditional methods rarely seen today. Production starts on a single farm where 100% of the barley is grown. The barley is traditionally floor malted, hand mashed and slowly fermented for seven days in wooden vats, handmade in the distillery’s own cooperage. Distillation takes place over direct fire in small copper pot stills and maturation takes place in carefully selected casks. The whisky is of course bottled at the distillery – a truly handcrafted product from start to finish.
