Braeval 10 year Curators’ Cut is a refined and utterly charming Speyside single malt, selected and bottled by the uncompromising independent bottler Woodrow’s of Edinburgh. A whisky that combines classic Speyside elegance with deep sherry richness – created for whisky lovers seeking authenticity, character and true craftsmanship.

The whisky comes from the elevated and often overlooked Braeval, known for its clean, fruity and silky smooth style. This edition is matured exclusively in a First Fill Oloroso Sherry Hogshead, which adds intensity, warmth and complexity without overpowering the distillery’s natural finesse.

Distilled on August 14, 2014 and bottled on July 16, 2025 after exactly 10 years of maturation, the whisky appears in its purest form. Bottled at 50.1%, with no chill filtration and no added color, ensuring maximum depth of flavor and honest expression straight from the cask. With only 415 bottles from cask no. 9900072, this is a highly attractive bottling for collectors and connoisseurs alike.

Tasting notes

Nose: Rich and inviting aromas of dark raisins, caramelized nuts and classic fruitcake. Notes of cinnamon, dark chocolate and lightly toasted oak reveal the fine Oloroso aging.

Taste: Rich and silky mouthfeel with dried fruits, honey, orange peel and a hint of espresso. The alcohol strength gives lift and structure without disturbing the balance.

Finish: Long, warm and elegant with lingering sherry notes, dark cocoa and a subtle touch of spicy oak. A finish that lingers and invites contemplation.
