Exclusive Champagne Tasting with Taittinger at Tango Tapas

Eriksen Vinhandel invites you to an exclusive evening with the world-renowned champagne house Taittinger. Look forward to an experience featuring exquisite cuisine, elegant champagnes, and fascinating stories.

The tasting will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Tango Tapas in Holbæk.

The evening will be led by Jesper Søgård, ambassador and sommelier for Champagne Taittinger. With his extensive knowledge and passion, he will guide us through the house’s history, production, and individual champagnes, ensuring you have a truly special tasting experience.

Champagne Taittinger

Taittinger is one of the few major champagne houses still owned and operated by the family behind the name. The Taittinger family took over the house in 1932, and since then they have been known for creating champagnes characterized by elegance, finesse, and uncompromising quality. Today, Taittinger is considered one of the most prestigious and respected producers in all of Champagne.

The house is headquartered in Reims, where the historic limestone cellars dating back to Roman times provide the perfect setting for aging the champagnes. These cellars are part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Site and provide optimal conditions for the long aging process that helps create Taittinger’s distinctive style.

Taittinger is particularly famous for the high proportion of Chardonnay in its cuvées. Chardonnay gives the champagnes an elegant freshness, fine bubbles, lovely minerality, and a long, harmonious finish. At the same time, the house owns nearly 300 hectares of its own vineyards spread across some of Champagne’s finest regions, ensuring exceptional quality year after year.

Taittinger champagnes are served at some of the world’s finest restaurants and hotels and enjoyed at everything from royal events to major international sporting events. Every bottle reflects the house’s passion for craftsmanship, tradition, and innovation.

This evening, you’ll have the opportunity to experience a selection of the house’s fantastic champagnes, while Jesper Søgård guides you through the history behind Taittinger and discusses the production process, style, and distinctive characteristics that have made the house world-renowned.

Throughout the evening, 8 different champagnes from Taittinger will be served. Each champagne will be paired with delicious tapas from Tango Tapas, carefully selected to highlight the elegance, freshness, and complexity of each champagne.
