Franco Francesco Chardonnay Piemonte DOC 2023 is a seductive and stylish white wine from iconic Piemonte – an area best known for Barolo and Barbaresco, but which also produces elegant and characterful white wines. Here you get a 100% Chardonnay that combines freshness, aromatic intensity and balanced richness in a harmonious whole.

This 2023 vintage is a beautiful example of how Chardonnay thrives in the hilly landscape of Piedmont. The vineyards are 200 meters above sea level on soils of compact marl and sand, giving the wine structure, minerality and finesse. The result is a crisp and vibrant white wine that works perfectly as an aperitif or with seafood, fish and light dishes.

The vinification is done by hand from start to finish. The grapes are hand-harvested in September in small baskets to preserve aroma and freshness. After gentle pressing, the must is naturally clarified and fermentation takes place at low temperatures to retain the fine fruit notes. The wine is aged for a month on its fine lees at 12°C, adding roundness and depth, before bottling in January. Short bottle ageing ensures the wine is released crisp, clean and full of character.

Aroma: Aromatic and inviting with notes of green apples, ripe pears and hints of pineapple and papaya.

Flavor: Lively and fresh with crisp acidity and citrus up front. Balanced by a soft, round texture with apple, pear and light tropical fruit flavors. The finish is harmonious, mouth-cleansing and elegantly long.
