Glendronach Port Wood Highland Single Malt Whisky 46% – Port Cask Finish

Glendronach Port Wood Highland Single Malt Whisky is an elegant and deeply aromatic Highland whisky, enriched with an additional maturation in carefully selected port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal. It combines classic Glendronach style with dark fruit, spicy sweetness and vinous finesse.

The whisky is first aged in old bourbon barrels for around 7 years, where it builds structure, vanilla notes and classic maltiness. This is followed by 3 years of final maturation in ex-port wine casks, which adds deep color, intense fruit and silky smooth roundness. This double maturation creates a harmonious balance between the sweetness of the bourbon barrel and the dark character of the port.

At 46% alcohol, it is rich and complex without being overwhelming. It bottles without losing its natural character and delivers a beautiful combination of depth and elegance. It’s a whisky that appeals to both the experienced enthusiast and those looking for a more fruity and rounded Highland experience.
