Bottled at 50.5% and released in a limited edition of just 2,100 bottles, this is a whisky with an edge – both in taste and story.

Ledaig is the smoky style from the Tobermory distillery and known for its maritime, slightly wild character. After 18 years of maturation, this whisky has achieved a fascinating balance of peat smoke, salty sea air and an almost animal depth. It’s not polished Speyside – it’s Mull, raw and honest.

Pale in color, but far from cautious. The nose opens with wood smoke and tallow candles, an almost fatty and mineral note that evokes coastal and dark harbors. There’s salty sweat and rustic strength – lean but muscular. The Murderers series draws on Macbeth’s dark universe, and this bottling exudes dark mood and dramatic nerve.

• Nose: Peat smoke, campfire and tallow candles. Salty sea breeze and a slight medicinal undertone.
• Palate: Oily and textured with smoke, black pepper, ash and a slight animalic depth. Maritime notes and subtle sweetness balance the power.
