About Montebello Distillery

Montebello was founded in 1930 by the Dolomie family. The distillery is located in the eastern part of Basse-Terre in Guadeloupe. It began as a small family-run distillery.

Over the years, Montebello has experienced several historical changes. Ownership has changed hands, but production has retained its traditional character. In the 1970s, the distillery really started to grow.

Today, Montebello employs more than 30 people. They produce up to 500,000 liters of rum per year. The majority is sold on the French market. Production is closely supervised by the Marsolle family, who are in charge of administration.
