We proudly present the 12th edition of Eriksen Vinhandel’s own Single Cask – a monumental 23-year-old Jamaica rum from Plantation Rum. Distilled in 1998 at the legendary Long Pond Distillery and bottled in 2021 at 49.5%. An uncompromising rum for connoisseurs, collectors and lovers of true Jamaican character.

This exclusive single cask has undergone a full 20 years of tropical aging in bourbon barrels in Jamaica. This has provided maximum concentration and depth. This was followed by 2 years of continental aging in Ferrand casks in France. As the icing on the cake, the rum was aged for a further 10 months in a Bardstown Fusion Series Bourbon Cask. The result is top-class complexity.

There is no dosage added – 0 g/l. That means pure, authentic Jamaica rum with no sweetness adjustment. You get full transparency and full intensity. A rum that shows what long ageing and classic pot still distillation from Long Pond can achieve.

Tasting notes

Nose: Delicate and fruity. Mango, passion fruit and coconut. Then notes of cedar, vanilla and light tobacco.

Flavor: Rich and complex. Apricot, candied ginger and marzipan. Hints of hazelnut, cinnamon and date. Develops towards honey, peach and pecan.

Finish: Very long and intense. Cloves, thyme and coffee. Finishes with dark fruit cake and warm spices.
