The rum is aged for a full 8 years in old American whiskey barrels in the Dominican Republic. This creates a rich and rounded base with lots of flavor. The rum is then sent to Denmark, where it is finished on Bornholm by spirits expert Søren Beyer. Here it undergoes a gentle process where it is reduced to 43% alcohol, lightly filtered and rounded off with a small amount of sugar. This approach brings out the flavors and creates a harmonious and balanced rum.

The aroma is warm and inviting with notes of vanilla, caramel and spices.
